Terms of service

Using Scry — the web application at scry.fyi and its subdomains — means agreeing to the terms below. Scry is operated by Wilson Studio and is currently in open beta.

What Scry is

Scry is a market-intelligence tool. It describes where a game concept sits against the current market — the neighborhoods, comparable titles, and dimensional analysis of positioning — using public data from Steam, SteamSpy, and Steam News, layered with LLM-generated narrative.

Scry is not financial, investment, legal, or business advice. It does not predict commercial outcomes. It is a tool for reading the market, not for decisions about whether to build, fund, publish, or abandon a project. See the output disclaimer for a fuller statement.

Estimates and accuracy

Displayed numbers are estimates derived from public sources. SteamSpy owner bands are nominally ±40% accurate. Revenue estimates multiply owner midpoints by list price without discount or refund adjustment. Every derived metric has its own methodology page with the formula, source, and limitations — read it before leaning on a number for a meaningful decision.

Acceptable use

Don't use Scry to:

Scrape, mirror, or re-host Scry's output at scale.
Circumvent rate limits or abuse shared infrastructure.
Submit content you don't have the right to submit (reference games and concept text are yours to enter; don't paste in someone else's confidential GDD).
Probe for vulnerabilities without prior coordination. Security reports welcome: scry@wilsonstudio.co.

Your content

You retain ownership of anything you enter into Scry. By using the tool you grant Wilson Studio a license to process that content to generate analysis for you (including routing it through Anthropic's API for narrative generation). Scry doesn't republish, sell, or share your concept content.

Availability and changes

Scry is provided as-is during the beta. Service may be interrupted, features may change or be removed, and data shapes may evolve in ways that invalidate stored concept data. Material breaking changes will be called out in release notes.

Limitation of liability

Scry is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wilson Studio is not liable for business losses, missed opportunities, or decisions made in reliance on Scry output. Commercial decisions belong to the people making them.
